NESTOR MONTOYA, editor, (Rep.) delegate Bernalillo Co.; b. April 14, 1862, Albuquerque. N, M.; s. of Teodocio and Incarnacion (Cervantes) Montoya; educated in both Spanish and English in St. Michael’s college, Santa Fe; employed in U. S. post office and treasury in Santa Fe; became and is now interpreter of courts in 2nd Judicial District; founded La Voz del Pueblo (now of Las Vegas), in Santa Fe, 1890; 1900 founded and became editor of La Bandera Americana, in Albuquerque, still occupying that position; mem. New Mex. House of Rep. from San Miguel Co., 1889; speaker New Mex. house of Rep., 1903; mem. terr. senate from Bernalillo Co., 1905; mem. Mutual Protective Society of Old Albuquerque.
