J. FRANK ROMERO, merchant and stockraiser, (Rep.) delegate Socorro Co.; b. July 7, 1869, Peralta, Valencia Co., N. M.; s. Jose Placido and Felisita (Salazar) Romero; educ. St. Michael’s College, Santa Fe; 1887 entered sheep and mercantile business with his father at Peralta; 1894 went to Carthage as prospector in coal mines with drilling machine; 1896 entered sheep business in Mangas, later going to Magdalena; owner of extensive salt works and stores at SaltLake, N. M.; deputy sherrif Socorro Co., 1910.
