Missouri State Normal, 1887; came to New Mex. 1888 and engaged in abstract bus, in Las Vegas and for a time was deputy clerk, Mora Co.; removed to Santa Fe, 1890; admitted to practice law, 1891; dist. atty. 1st Jud. Dist. Santa Fe, 1898; dist. atty. 4th Judicial District Las Vegas, 1899-1903; mem. New Mex. senate from Santa Fe Co., 1897; from San Miguel Co., 1903-7-9; President Terr. Senate, 1907-09.
