ACASIO GALLEGOS, translator and educator, (Rep.) delegate Torrance.; b. San Miguel Co., N. M. Sept; 19, 1869; s.  of Crencensia and Seferina Gallegos; early educ. Presbyterian and Catholic schools, Las Vegas, Tiptonville and Mora; taught school fourteen years; deputy treas. and tax collector, Union Co., 1897-9; deputy sheriff Lincoln Co., 1901-4; assistant supt. of public instruction, Terr. of New Mexico, 1909-11; mem. K.of P.; Spanish-American Alliance.
