DANIEL CASSIDY. SR., merchant and stockraiser, (Rep.) delegate Mora Co.; b. Oct. 11, 1852, County Donegal, Ireland; early educ. County Donegal, Ireland; went to England, 1870; came to U. S. in 1881, landing in Baltimore and came immediately to Cleveland, N. M.;  entered store of Jas. Daugherty as clerk: purchased store of employer, 1891; 1893 established business in Mora under name of Daugherty & Cassidy, buying Mr. Daugherty’s  interest in 1905; firm is now Daniel Cassidy & Co.: treas. & collector, Mora Co., 1905-7.
