Jan. 17, 1871, Prince Edward Island, Canada; educ. pub. schools and St. Dunstan’s college, Charlottetown, Canada; taught school four years in Canada; left Canada and went to Leadville, Colo., 1881; followed mining three years; went to Montana, 1884, and engaged in sheep business in Chouteau county for fourteen years; removed to N. M., 1898; engaged in sheep business in Estancia valley since; director in several banks; mem. Masons.
