Biography of F. M. Bojorquez, a rancher and stockman of Sierra County, living at Arrey, was born in San Bernardino, California, on the 18th of March, 1865, a son of Jesus and Lawrence Bojorquez, who in the early '40s crossed the Atlantic from Barcelona, Spain.

Bojorquez, a rancher and stockman of Sierra County, living at Arrey, was born in San Bernardino, California, on the 18th of March, 1865, a son of Jesus and Lawrence Bojorquez, who in the early '40s crossed the Atlantic from Barcelona, Spain. In 1852, following the discovery of gold in California, they removed to that state and it was there that F. M. Bojorquez was born. They afterward removed to the state of Sonora, in Mexico, but both parents are now deceased.
It was in Sonora that F. M. Bojorquez was reared and educated. He has been a resident of New Mexico since 1888, in which year he located at the Aleman ranch, south of Engle, that property being owned by William Martin. For seventeen years he was connected with Mr. Hopewell in charge of his mine, but for the past eight years has been engaged in ranching on his own account and has met with substantial and gratifying success in this undertaking. He has good stock upon his place and his ranch is well improved according to modern ideas of farm equipment.
Mr. Bojorquez has been married three times. In 1891 he wedded Maria Analla and they had two children, Clara and Frank. For his second wife he chose Aurora Chaves and they had a son, Fred. His present wife bore the maiden name of Rosaura Chaves and their children are B. C, Lawrence, Amalia, and Clotilde.
Mr. Bojorquez is a democrat and for nine years filled the office of county commissioner of Sierra County, making a creditable record in office as was indicated by his reelection. He is a devout communicant of the Catholic Church. He belongs to the Spanish-American Alliance and is regarded as a public-spirited and esteemed resident of his community.
