and German; worked in Algodones as a clerk until 1879; 1879
removed to present residence in Cuba and entered mercantile
business; has extensive land and livestock interests; director
State National Bank, Albuquerque; owns stores at Cuba and
Jemez; chr. Co. Com. Bernalillo Co., 1899-1903; speaker New
Mex. House of Rep., 1909; elected Nov. 7, 1911, as member
first state senate from 6th District; mem. Elks.
