William McKintosh

WILLIAM McINTOSH, merchant and stockraiser, (Rep.) delegate Torrance Co.; b. Inverness, Scotland, March 15, 1853; early educ. in Scotland; came to the U. S. in 1871 landing in New York City; removed to Colorado 1874, and worked in the smelters in Black Hawk, Colo; removed to New Mexico, 1877, and engaged in sheep raising in the Estancia Valley; director Bank of Commerce, Albuquerque; pres, McIntosh Hardware Co., Albuquerque; interested heavily in other businesses and properties in New Mexico; first treasurer and collector Torrance Co., 1907-9; mem 32nd deg Mason, Elk, I.O.O.F., Eagle, Owl.
